Victor
Lira
Dec 23, 1945 — Jul 15, 2020
Victor Lira was born on December 23, 1945, in Covadonga, Coahuila, to his parents Simon Lira and Matilde Robledo. In 1974 he married Miss Maria del Rosario Cisneros, his wife and faithful companion of 46 years who never left his side. Victor was a devout Apostolic Christian. He was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ in 1973 in the city of Houston, Texas having received the Holy Spirit the day before he was baptized. He remained a faithful member of the Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus until his death. He served the Lord for many years in the music ministry using his gift of song to reach for the lost, and offered words of wisdom to the young and old. Victor and his wife, whom he lovingly referred to as Vicky, were small business owners for most of their marriage. He was a firm believer in the value of hard work and worked up until two weeks before his death. Victor and his wife had no biological children of their own, but he was loved and adored by his many nieces and nephews. Victor will be remembered for his love, humor, work ethic, generosity, and overall devotion to God and what he believed to be right. He served God uprightly until the day of his departure, on July 15, 2020 at 11:25 a.m. His last moments on earth were spent praising his Lord whom he loved so much. He is survived by his wife Vicky, his 5 brothers and 4 sisters, his nephew Nahum, and his nieces Aholibama, Abigail, Nohelly, Mariann, Stefany, and Jocelyn.
