Later he worked Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base until he retired. During his years at Kelly Air Force Base he also served as a reservist for the 377th Red Horse Squadron. Roberto's passions were his family, friends, his 1956 red Ford pickup truck, and the beautiful outdoors. He was an extremely caring and loving man with a huge heart for anyone in need. He loved having some beers with family and friends in his backyard while listening to his Spanish music. He also had a special place in his heart for birds. He would sit in his chair out back listening to music, have a few beers and watch the beautiful birds gather around him. He touched so many people he came in contact with because he gave, gave gave and never asked for anything in return. Our lives will never be the same without our beloved husband, Daddy, grandpa, tio, cousin and friend, but his beautiful heart, humor and wisdom will forever be with us. Rest In Peace our Champion!
