On November 8, 2023 my son, Miguel Cortez, age 37 from San Antonio was called to heaven to be with his mother. The world lost a loving and caring man who had the biggest heart and the biggest smile. He saw no fault in anyone. He was born in Amberg, Germany July 11, 1986, where he played quite often with his brothers outside. In 1992, he came to the United States with his father and mother and started his next phase in San Antonio with a short stint in Junction City, Kansas, where his sister Ramona Cortez was born in 1998. They had a beautiful relationship. The last time they had got together was a week earlier before his passing to see his latest nephew. Miguel graduated Harlandale High School, after graduation he started working for the Hyatt for ten years, which he really loved. His biggest love was hanging with my son Juan A. Cortez kid's. He also enjoyed Legos, "man he could build anything." Our family lost a treasure of a son and brother, your mom will take care of you my son. Love you... He is preceded in death by his mother Gerlinde Cortez and is survived by his father Juan M. Cortez, Diana Lucio, brothers David L. Solecki and Juan A. Cortez, sister Ramona A. Cortez and husband Matthew Mendoza, uncle Joel Cortez, aunt JoDee Ann,  aunt Maria Gonzalez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
