She is preceded in death by her mother Rachel Garcia and brother Raul (Shorty) Garcia. Melissa is survived by her father Richard M. Garcia; partner Rene Gomez; brothers Daniel Garcia (Rosie), Robert Reyes, Ralph Reyes (Mari) and Rick Garcia; sisters Jennifer Reyes Quintero (Rey) and Veronica Garcia; nephews and nieces Leeann, Kylee, Jenna, Yasmine, Jailene, Ariel, Ariana, Edward, Rey Rey, Lamberto, Lil Ralph, Isaiah and Ashton; great-niece Lina Jane and great-nephew Christopher Maverick.
