Leticia C.
Chavez
May 16, 1963 — Sep 25, 2023
Leticia C. Chavez also known as Letty Chavez, peacefully departed from this earth battling cancer on September 25, 2023, at the age of 60, in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on May 16, 1963, Letty graced the world with her presence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. Letty was a fighter until the very end. She was a strong woman with a strong will. She never gave up hope and her strength was unmatched. God chose to call one of his strongest fighters home.
Letty exemplified the virtues of being humble, gratitude, and respect for all of creation. She was a woman of unwavering faith, finding solace and strength in her relationship with Jesus. Her steadfast devotion to the teachings of Christ inspired those around her, as she lovingly encouraged others to believe and embrace the power of faith.
Her journey through life was marked by a resolute work ethic, always placing the needs of others before her own. Letty's genuine heart and straightforward nature were the pillars of her bold and courageous character, endearing her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She recognized the inherent worth and dignity in every individual, treating each person she encountered with kindness, compassion and chastise accordingly.
Letty's family was the cornerstone of her existence. She is survived by her cherished brother, Ruben Castro, and her beloved children: Lauraine Chavez, Ernest Chavez Jr., Jessica Chavez, and Evie Ximenez. Their lives were forever enriched by her love and guidance, and her memory will continue to live on in their hearts eternally.
In moments of leisure, Letty found solace in the simplicity of life's pleasures. Engaging in the art of puzzle-solving, thrift shopping and garage sales, marveling at the delicate beauty of butterflies and flowers, and indulging in the joy of coloring and watching her favorite movies and shows brought her a sense of serenity and intrigue. She was blunt and told you how it was and that was what made her our momma.
A memorial service, honoring the life and legacy of Letty Chavez, will be held at the sacred grounds of San Antonio Mortuary, situated at 703 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX. The dedicated and compassionate staff of San Antonio Mortuary will be providing their unwavering support and guidance during this time of remembrance and reflection.
Letty Chavez's departure from this earthly realm leaves a void that can never be filled. She will be missed and never forgotten. She will always be in our hearts until we meet again. Her spirit of humility, gratitude, and reverence for all of creation will forever resonate within the hearts of those she touched. May her unwavering faith and the lessons she imparted continue to inspire and guide us all on our own spiritual journeys."
