Guadalupe DeLaCruz, faithful matriarch of the DeLaCruz family, passed to the Lord on August 7, 2020 at the lovely age 98. She was born on April 4, 1922 in Gonzalez, TX to Joaquin and Maria Aguineaga Flores.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband, Dionicio DeLaCruz, grandson Johnny DeLaCruz and her brothers, Juan, Agustin and Ramon Flores.   She is survived by her children Daniel (Diana), Josie Torres, Rudy (Isabel) and Jessie (Suzanne) DeLaCruz.  Guadalupe had 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Guadalupe was a woman of strong faith and was devoted to the Virgin de Guadalupe.  Guadalupe, her husband and family were migrant workers and worked tirelessly to provide for their children.  She was also an entrepreneur and used her passion for sewing, crocheting, cooking, and caring for children to help support the family.  Guadalupe enjoyed going on pilgrimages, listening to music, fishing, going to the coast and river, playing BINGO, and going to the casino.  Her family will miss her confidence, beauty, storytelling and unconditional love.

Her daughter, Josie Torres, provided exceptional and loving care and devoted her life to ensure Guadalupe had a loving, adventurous and carefree journey in life.
