Gregory Torres sadly left us on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the age of 71. He passed away peacefully in the hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 21, 1951, to Gregorio and Jesusa Torres in San Antonio. He attended Harlandale High School where he played the drums in the band and proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps.

In 1969 he married his first wife Mary Lou and togetherthey had his daughter Jessica. After his first marriage dissolved, he met and married Virginia in 1995. He is survived and missed by his loving wife Virginia Torres. His daughter Jessica and stepchildren Juan and Marcy. Forever cherished and remembered by his six grandchildren, Elijah, Jessalynn, Johnny, Max, Mia, Kara and one great-granddaughter Naomi Gloria.

He was always a good provider and hard worker. He is a licensed plumber and worked for civil service at Randolph Air force Base as a water treatment operator for 30 years. He retired in 2015. In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry and gardening. He loved music and his true passion was playing the drums. He loved playing music with his fellow band members. He was very well known as a very talented and versatile drummer, having played with many local bands.

Gregory was a loving husband and father. He was very compassionate, gentle, and sweet. He loved to joke around and laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Rosary service will be held in his honor at San Antonio Mortuary (703 Palo Alto Rd, SA, TX 78211) on Monday, January 9 th at 6:00 pm. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Angles Church (1214 Stonewall SA, TX 78211) on Tuesday, January 10 th at 12:00 pm. Followed by the Burial at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 1:45pm.
