Obituary

Diamantina (Tina) L. Contreras was born on June 17, 1951 in Brady, TX to Lazaro and Juanita Ledezma. Tina passed away on December 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. She is one of 10 children. Tina excelled academically throughout her Brady High School years. Aftershe graduated high school, she attended The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education. During this time, she had two children, Robyn and Lazaro. In the summer of 1987, she graduated with a Master's degree in Education from the University of Texas in San Antonio. In that same year on December 31st, she married Roger Contreras and gained two daughters Brianna and Valerie. One of Tina's proudest
moment of her life was becoming a grandmother in 1993. She was at the birth of all her grandchildren. She absolutely adored and loved every grandchild in her own special way. Tina's priorities never wavered as she valued and put her children, grandchildren and family first. They were her life! Tina was a highly respected educator for over 30 years until retiring in 2005 from the San Antonio Independent School District. She was a
devout-Catholic, who volunteered for many years as a CCD teacher at St. John the Evangelists Catholic Church. Tina was loved and adored by
her family, friends, coworkers and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Lazaro Ledezma and Juanita Ledezma Martinez and brother-in-law Edward Gallagher. Tina is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Rogelio M. Contreras; son Lazaro E. Lopez; daughters Robyn Low- rey, Brianna Garcia (Noel), Valerie Contreras; grandchildren Gabriel, Matteo, Edward, Paul, Eric, Evan, Charles, Aaron, Isabella and Mia; brothers Lazaro Ledezma Jr., Ysabel Ledezma (Anna); sisters Emma Bosquez (Mariano Sr.), Maria Cortez (Antonio), Alicia Ledezma, Sara

A Rosary will be held on December 31, 2020 at 10:00am with a Mass to follow at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church- Honey Creek 25781 Hwy 46 W Spring Branch, TX 78070. Inurnment will follow at 11:30am at St. Joseph Cath- olic Cemetery- Honey Creek. I chose this date because we were married 33 years ago on New Year's Eve at 11:30am. Now I am burying my wife on our anniversary at the same time we began our journey together.

I truly adored and loved her. Sgt Roger M. Contreras
