David Gonzales, Jr

David Gonzales Jr, was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 24,1934, and passed to his heavenly home on December 7, 2022, at the age of eighty-eight surrounded by loved ones. David is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Sulema V. Gonzales, son, David Gonzales III, and sisters, Albina Estrada, Mary Orosco, and Carolina Yow.

He is survived by his children, Diana Gonzales, Sylvia Ann Gutierrez (Juan), Irma Gonzales, Jovita Hernandez, Jimmy Gonzales, and Jose Luis Gonzales (Cathie); siblings, Lupita Constancio, Rosemary Jimenez, Marcela Gonzales, and Rey Gonzales; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. By his side at all times was his pet dog, Moonshine.

He was known for working hard, cracking jokes, and leading by faith. He could easily make friends with anyone, anywhere - always sharing his wisdom. Motivated and strong-willed, he enjoyed tending his garden, selling produce at the flea market, watching late-night cowboy movies, and working on creative projects around the house. As long as he had his cup of coffee, there was nothing holding him back from living life to the fullest.
