God saw she was getting tired



God saw she was getting tired


And a cure was not to be.


So He put His arms around her


and whispered, "Come with Me"


With tearful eyes we watched her suffer


And saw her fade away.


Although we loved her dearly,


We could not make her stay.


A golden heart stopped beating,


Hard working hands to rest.


God broke our hearts to prove to us


He only takes the best.

Auzelia, known as Lela, was the third oldest of ten siblings.

She was a very loving, kind-hearted woman and hard worker. Auzelia spent many years working at  Lackland Air Force Base  before moving to Drexel Workshop, where she continued her work for several more years. She also had a stint at Jack in the Box.

Auzelia actively participated in the Special Olympics for many years, earning numerous awards and trophies.

She was outgoing, loved taking the bus to work, and was always at the kitchen table helping her mother prep the food for her family. She loved to color Easter eggs and cut paper to make cascarones for Easter.

She loved watching Novelas and was a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs!

She adored cats and dogs, often standing by the door to watch her animals play. She always made sure to take great care of them.

Lela helped her mother take care of her nieces and nephews. When they were kids,

she would watch over them and discipline them,

all while showing endless love and affection.

Her love for collecting porcelain dolls and stuffed animals was a big part of her life,

and of course, she was also a fan of

"Oldies but Goodies" music.

The entire family will miss Auzelia (Lela)
