Amelia T. Cervantes of San Antonio, Tx was born on June 24, 1946 to Mariano F. Cervantes and Janie T. Cervantes. Amelia passed away December 14, 2023 at the age of 77. Amelia was an amazing, loving and kind woman who did what she had to do for her children and loved ones. Amelia was the eldest of 10 children. She was always there for her brothers and sisters. She cared and loved them dearly. Amelia had 5 children who she would give her life for, she did anything and everything for them. Amelia also had 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children whom she loved very much. She would tell them amazing stories, teach them how to cook and just love on them. Amelia "La Fats" is how she was best known to her friends. She had a love for music, as she would turn on her music loud while cooking and cleaning anytime she had a chance. She would just enjoy jamming out. She had a passion for dancing and loved to cook amazing meals, work on puzzles and watch Tela Novelas. Amelia just loved life!
She was preceded in death by her father Mariano F. Cervantes, mother Janie T. Cervantes, brother William Mariano T. Cervantes, sister Blanch C. Hajieb, sister Joan C. Alonso and brother Joel T. Cervantes . Amelia is survived by her daughter Shirley C. Martinez (son in law Michael Martinez), son Pete Covarrubias, son Porfirio Covarrubias, son Santos Cervantes, daughter Mary Janie C. Harvey and (son in law Timothy Harvey), grandchildren Michael Martinez, Mikey Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Alexander Martinez, William Martinez, Nicole Martinez, Alexis Martinez, Delano Covarrubias, Theodore Martinez, Destiny Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Emily Martinez and Samantha Martinez, great grandchildren Joshua, Joselyn, Joseph, Joselle, Manuel, Joshua, Jasmine, Aleah, Allyson, Venus, William Jr, Benjamin and Paisley. Amelia also had numerous nieces,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved unconditionally. She will be greatly missed.
