Adolph Eddie Bates Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on September 26, at the age of 66. He is preceded in death by his father Adolph Eddie Bates Sr. brother Willie Bates. He is survived by his mother Manuela Rivas and step father Martin Rivas, wife Lucia G. Bates, son Adolph Eddie Bates III (Cynthia Bates), daughters Erika Rios (Martin Rios), Valerie Granado (Domingo Granado III) Amanda Quijano ( Armand Quijano), brothers Oscar Bates, Robert Bates, sisters Linda Rodriguez, Elva Morales, 8 grandchildren Brianna, Martin, Johnny, Amberskye, Jakob, Aidan, Armon, Aria, Baby Bates on the way. He was an uncle to many nieces & nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Adolph served our country in the Navy. He is loved by many and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 3rd from 3:30 - 8:30PM. with prayer service to be recited at 7:00PM. Thursday October 4th visitation will be held at 8:00AM. - 9:15AM. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:15AM.
